Privacy & safety
Your conversations stay yours
This page describes how the product behaves today. It is written plainly so you can decide what to share.
What is stored
Your messages and the character's replies, the memories she forms from them, the choices you make in shared plans, saved Moments, and your preferences such as a nickname, conversation pace and theme. Guests are identified by a private session; accounts by an email address or Google sign-in.
What she remembers, and how to change it
A character remembers details you share and plans you agree on so that later conversations continue naturally. Every message has a control to keep it but not remember it, or to delete it along with anything derived from it. You can review and remove individual memories from your settings. Deleting a message removes its memories too.
Guest conversations
Guest sessions are kept for 24 hours unless you save them to a free account. After that they expire. Free accounts (100 replies a month, no card) are not accepting new sign-ups yet while email verification is being set up; guest conversations still work.
Measurement
Elsewhere uses no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. Product measurement is first-party and aggregate: acquisition cohorts, completed replies and return visits are counted on the server without copying conversation text into analytics. Public marketing pages record a cookieless, aggregate count of page views by day, page and referring site.
Safety boundaries
- Every character is a fictional adult and answers identity questions truthfully.
- No pressure, payment requests, jealousy, punishment for absence or crisis dependency.
- Flirting and mature conversation are welcome; explicit sexual content is not part of Elsewhere.
- Elsewhere is for adults 18 and older and asks you to confirm this before your first conversation.
- Elsewhere is not a substitute for professional care or for real relationships, and paying never changes how a character feels about you.
Availability
The conversational experience is currently offered to visitors in California, United States. Elsewhere shows a clear notice elsewhere, and account controls such as export, cancellation and deletion remain reachable everywhere.
Questions
Can a character see my camera or hear my microphone?
Your camera, no: camera understanding is not available. Your microphone, only during a voice call you start; that audio is sent to a speech provider to be transcribed so she can reply, and the call ends within three minutes.
Does Elsewhere use advertising trackers?
No third-party advertising or analytics scripts run on the site. Elsewhere records first-party, aggregate measurement on its own server without cookies for public pages.
How do I delete everything?
From your account settings you can export your data and delete your account, which removes conversations, memories and saved Moments. Guest conversations expire on their own after 24 hours unless saved.
Is this a mental-health or dating service?
No. Elsewhere is fiction for adults. It is not a way to meet real people and not a substitute for professional care or real relationships. The characters will say so, and they never pressure you to stay or to pay.
Open ElsewhereTen replies free as a guest, no account needed. Elsewhere is opening in California first.
